Our mission is to improve the quality of life of ALL ANIMALS IN MALTA.

RAR is an animal rights voluntary organisation
with a difference.


RAR aims to improve the quality of life of all animals in Malta by helping licensed sanctuaries with funds, by raising public awareness, educating the general public, fostering and homing abandoned animals, neutering stray cats, reporting abuse,  supporting individual feeders and rescuers, and by advising and lobbying local authorities on all animal-related matters.  We also run a small re-homing centre for cats.

How Can You Help Us Help Them

The Real Animal Rights (RAR) Foundation in Malta is a charitable organisation run completely by volunteers. We are strong animal lovers fighting for a cause that is never given the importance that we think it deserves. We believe that by working together we can achieve more than by working alone. For this reason, we are always looking for people to support our cause in any way they can. Here are a few ways in which you can get involved.

Become a foster parent

Fostering an animal involves giving them a temporary home until a permanent one is found. Fostering is one of the most rewarding experiences ever.

Adopt an  animal

When you adopt, not only do you save one animal, but you also make space for other abandoned animals. In this way you would be creating a cycle of absolute love and goodness. Also, becoming an animal parent is awesome.

Report abuse

Never turn a blind eye. Always be their voice. If you suspect or know that an animal is being mistreated, neglected or abuse, you can report the case to Animal Welfare on 1717 or write to us in full confidence.
